Rio Hondo on Campus Location

The campus has various construction activities. You are recommended to park in Lot A and walk the footbridge to the technology buildings. Here is a view from 300 feet above the central courtyard on campus. Parking requires semester of day parking pass. Day parking can be obtained from the attendant at the parking booth. 

 

The campus is on a hill top. You can view the Google Map here with the terrain map.

Please follow facilities link above for location information on where to park, location of building and lab. Provide your address for this destination (Parking Lot A). If you want to know exactly then use What3Words here. From this parking location you can walk across the pedestrian footbridge to the Career Technology Courtyard. The GIS Classes (S305) and frequent workshops (URISA workshop is in room S306) are on the left (top floor with classroom accessed from outside) as you walk over the footbridge. Here is the corner of the classroom location using What3Words.

To view drone captured imagery at 300' you can view here. Image collected in GIS 130 composed of 702 images with 2.62 [cm/pixel] on Wednesday July 25th 9am thru 12:30pm, 2018. Survey mapping and orthomosaic imagery capture and remote sensing using sUAV (drone) is performed in GIS 130 and GIS 230 and demonstrated in most courses given the importance in the geospatial field.

Department of Public Works Location

Note: courses at DPW are tentatively scheduled to resume this spring 2023 starting with GIS 220 however, class may resort to online due to COVD restrictions. Registered students will be notified early January on final decision on class location.
